Wildlink — Privacy Policy

In short

Wildlink is an animal-themed logic puzzle. You do NOT need to create an account or provide a name, email or phone number to play. The app does not collect information that identifies you personally.

The only thing we collect is the game data needed to make the game work: an anonymous player identifier created on your device, and your progress.

Data we collect

• Anonymous player identifier (guest token) — generated by the app, not linked to your identity. Your progress is attached to it.
• Nickname — randomly generated at first (e.g. "Swift Wolf #6518"); you can change it. It is visible on the leaderboard.
• Game progress — levels solved, stars, scores, daily puzzle results, streak, Atlas discoveries, badges, quest progress.
• Friend code and friendships — created only if you share or enter a code.
• Device notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — ONLY if you enable notifications.
• Language preference and sound/vibration settings — stored on your device.
• Usage events — when you open the app, which level you start or finish, hint usage, and taps on the share button. Attached to the anonymous player identifier; what is recorded is where you are in the game, not what you write or who you are.

Data we do not collect

• Name, email address, phone number
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, files or access to other apps
• Advertising identifier — the app contains no ads
• Payment information — there are no in-app purchases

How we use it

• To save your progress and restore it on another device with your recovery code
• To build the leaderboard, weekly league and friends ranking
• To send the daily reminder and social notifications, if you enabled them
• To find bugs and prevent automated or cheating usage
• To understand where players get stuck — so we can find puzzles that are too hard or unclear and fix them (as aggregate statistics; nobody is reviewed individually)

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Only two service providers are involved, both required for the app to work:

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver notifications (your device token is sent only if you enabled notifications).
• Railway — server and database hosting.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept until you delete it. Inside the app, Account → "Delete my account" permanently deletes all of your progress; deletion is immediate and irreversible, and your leaderboard entries are removed as well.

Children

Wildlink is designed for ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date above.
